MOM has approved the extension of the application for Temporary Living Quarters (TLQ) on workplace to house their foreign workers (FW) (beyond affected Malaysians workers), for a period of up to 6 months.
Please note that the application is now done via declaration basis, which means employers can proceed to house their foreign workers on site immediately once they have completed their declaration form online.
Key Information
• Employers must fill in the attached “Form A – Checklist for TLQ” and ensure that all relevant information are present, and upload it onto the online form at https://go.gov.sg/tlq-declaration-form.
• Employer must check that all incoming TLQ occupants do not have fever (>37.5◦C) or do not display respiratory symptoms such as coughing and runny nose before they can be housed in the TLQ. All incoming TLQ occupants are to submit a health declaration (on the above) to the employer before they can move into the TLQ.
• Employers are reminded to ensure the TLQ remain in safe and clean at all times during the conversion period. Government officers may conduct checks subsequently. Enforcement action will be taken for any false declaration, or failure to ensure a safe and clean environment. In such cases, the approvals may be withdrawn.
• JTC lessees and tenants must keep JTC informed via email at jtc_temp_dorm@jtc.gov.sg. No approval from JTC is required. The email should include:
i) Attached copy of the filled Form A – Checklist for TLQ
ii) Company name
iii) UEN
iv) Address of TLQ (with Postal Code)
v) Number of workers to be housed in TLQ
